If you haven’t added me on snapchat yet, you’re in luck, because today I’m going to write you a little snippet that talks about today’s daily tip.

People love their names. To a person their name is the most beautiful and recognizable sound that can be made. We know the sound of our names so well, that we sometimes think we hear our names when we actually didn’t. With that in mind, I offer you today’s tip: Try harder to remember people’s names – even if you think you’ll never see them again.
Doesn’t it make you feel nice when someone you met only once remembers your name? I know I do. When someone remembers my name I feel important or special and I think to myself, “I must have made an impact on this person for them to remember my name.”
On the other end of the spectrum, there have been times where someone didn’t remember my name and I’ve met them 3x already!! It can stir up feelings of self-doubt inside of me and make me wonder what I did wrong that this person couldn’t even remember my name!

And the worst of all is when someone remembers your name, but you can’t remember theirs! This happened to me once, and I felt so bad, I vowed to do my best to never forget a person’s name again. We’re not perfect, and remembering names is not easy, especially if you’re meeting new people all the time, but if we find happiness in making other people happy, this is one way that is sure to make both you, and the recipient, happy!
