What the hell is Daily Tips for Happiness? Who came up with that?
It was 239 days ago that I realized my decision to change my life and my habits was not only working in terms of making me feel like a more outgoing and successful person, it was actually making me happier and this led me to want to figure out exactly what it was that was causing this effect and share it with others.
2 years ago if you asked me what my overall sentiment towards life was, my answer probably would have been something like, “Life Sucks. Everything is hard. Nothing ever seems to work out just right.” If you ask me today, I’d say, “Life has difficulties and adversities, but overall life is just about as good as you make it.”
It was that fundamental mindset change from “Life is hard.” into the thought process of “I am in control of my life” that really made the difference. This is called Accepting Responsibility for your life.
Every time something “goes wrong” in my life, I stop and ask myself, “What did I do to cause this to happen?”
It’s easy to blame someone or something else. It’s hard to look at yourself and say, “I caused this.” But don’t just use this trick to figure out what went wrong.
Sometimes something will happen to me that makes me feel very lucky, but the truth is, there is no luck. So then why did it happen? “What did I do to cause this to happen?”
You won’t be able to control everything that happens, but if you can figure out how to change yourself to avoid unnecessary negatives from happening and allow more positive things to happen in your life, you will be happier!
That’s what Daily Tips for Happiness is all about. Every single day, I think of 1 thing that I could do better, or 1 thing that I started doing differently to cause me to be happier, and then share it on Snapchat for you to benefit from as well.

Sharing good things with others is actually one of the things that has me happier. If sharing ways to be happier isn’t a good thing, then I don’t know what is.
